IEB
Identical to the state NSC. UJ: the APS 'has been developed for the National Senior Certificate (NSC) and the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) based on the Achievement Rating of each subject'. The national column of UJ's conversion table is headed 'NSC (IEB/SACAI/ISC)'.
Advanced Programme / Further Studies: Nothing is published about these subjects, so assume they earn no extra credit.
Same APS as NSC applicants: convert SIX subjects (Life Orientation excluded) with UJ's published conversion table and add them. A Level scores 6-10 points per subject (so six A Levels = max 60), AS Level 3-7, IGCSE/O Level 1-5, HIGCSE/NSSC(HL) 4-7. UJ links A Level to its 'A' grade set and AS Level, HIGCSE and NSSC(HL) to the South African NSC 'N' grades.

Exemption: UJ states no minimum number of A/AS passes of its own. It requires that 'applicants with international school leaving results are required to qualify for any type of Matriculation Exemption from the Matriculation Board (USAf)', plus a SAQA certificate of evaluation for all foreign qualifications.
HIGCSE/NSSC(HL): 1 = 7, 2 = 6, 3 = 5, 4 = 4 points. The same table also converts WAEC, KCSE, Diplome/Exam d'Etat, CHL/EM, Gabonese Baccalaureate and the American High School Diploma (for Matriculation Exemption, AHSD holders also need SAT Reading & Writing 610 and Mathematics 530, or a letter of admission from a recognised American university).
Identical six-subject APS. IB (HL) converts to 4-10 points per subject and IB (SL) to 1-7, from the same conversion table. UJ links IB (HL) to its 'A' grade set (alongside A Level) and IB (SL) to the South African NSC 'N' grades. Life Orientation is excluded. UJ publishes no rule for the IB core (TOK/EE/CAS) and no requirement expressed as an IB total out of 45.
Subject minimums: IB (SL) maps one-for-one onto the NSC levels, so SL 5 = NSC level 5 = 60-69% and satisfies a published 'Mathematics 5 (60%+)' minimum. No NSC-level equivalent is printed for IB (HL), whose values sit above the NSC 1-7 scale (HL 4 already = 7 points).
Exemption: Same rule as for Cambridge: an IB applicant must qualify for any type of Matriculation Exemption from the Matriculation Board (USAf) before UJ can register them for a degree, and must submit a SAQA evaluation of the foreign qualification. No IB-specific subject count is published.
Six IB HL subjects would give an APS of 60 against an NSC maximum of 42, because UJ's international scale runs to 10. Programme minimums in the prospectus are stated only as NSC levels, so HL subject minimums are not directly expressed.
