What MatricMap is
MatricMap is an information service about South African degrees: how they are recognised abroad, which careers are in demand, typical pay, exposure to AI, and university admission requirements. The tools and Example Maps are free for everyone. My Matric Map, your personal plan, is free too and needs no account. My dashboard, where the plan is followed through, opens with a free sign-in.
Information, not advice
Everything on MatricMap is general educational and career information compiled from published sources. It is not immigration, legal, financial, tax or psychological advice, and we are not registered immigration advisers, psychologists or financial advisers. Rules, requirements, fees and dates change, and universities and regulators make their own decisions. Always confirm with the linked official source before you apply, pay or make a decision. Meeting a published minimum requirement never guarantees admission, registration, a job or a visa.
Scores such as the mobility score, the overall rating and the AI robustness score are MatricMap's own formulas. They are explained on the site and are not official rankings or predictions.
My Matric Map
- A parent or guardian signs up with their email address, or you sign up with your own if you are 18 or older. We email an access code, which opens My dashboard on any device and keeps you signed in on that device for up to a year.
- The code is personal to your household. Please do not publish it or My Matric Map content. Asking for a new code replaces the old one.
- We may improve, change or remove features.
Paid plans and refunds
- The Family plan is one payment through Lemon Squeezy (it was paid monthly before 20 October 2026, and through Gumroad before 5 October 2026; those plans renew as before). School and practice plans are priced per learner and paid yearly by invoice. The plan switches on for the email address you pay with and lasts for the time paid for. When that time runs out, the plan's extras lock again and the free tools stay.
- The buyer gets a join code to share. Each person who signs up and enters it takes one of the plan's places. Please share it only with the people the plan is for: your children, or the learners or clients of your school grade, school or practice.
- Refunds: email info@matricmap.co.za within 14 days of a payment and we refund that payment in full, with no questions asked. The plan's extras lock when we refund it. This is in addition to any right to cancel that South African consumer law gives you.
- Schools and practices pay by invoice; the plan switches on when the invoice is paid.
Acceptable use
Do not copy the site or its data in bulk, resell it, attempt to get around the sign-in, or interfere with the service. We may suspend access that does.
Liability
We work hard to keep MatricMap accurate and we show our sources so you can check them, but we cannot promise that everything is complete, current or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, MatricMap is not liable for decisions made, or losses suffered, in reliance on the site. Nothing here removes rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be excluded.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Questions: info@matricmap.co.za.
