NSC/IEB/SACAI degree endorsement required. Maths Literacy or Technical Maths cannot be substituted for Maths, and Technical Science cannot be substituted for Physical Sciences. NBTs in Mathematics, AL and QL must be written, but the results are not taken into account for admission to this faculty. Band A (guaranteed admission) needs 450 FPS; Band B (likely) 420 WPS; Band C (possible) 390 FPS, for South African applicants in redress categories 1 and 2 only. UCT has no undergraduate degree named Construction Management: it is a one-year BSc Honours taken after this degree. Study offers are limited; meeting the levels in a lower band does not guarantee admission. Applications for 2027 closed on 31 July 2026 (UCT does not accept late applications).
Wits 2027 example: APS 36 or more, English Home Language or First Additional Language level 5 and Mathematics level 5. APS 30-35 may be wait-listed, subject to place availability. 3 years.

Published minimums only. APS 30-35 may be wait-listed, subject to place availability; places are limited and meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee a place. The BSc in Construction Studies forms the foundation of the School's professional fields (construction management, property studies and quantity surveying); you decide which professional field to pursue at Honours level.
UJ 2027 example: English level 4, Mathematics or Technical Mathematics level 5, and Physical Sciences level 5 OR Technical Science level 5; APS 30.
NSC/IEB minimums can be checked in My Map using your results. Other curricula need a separate programme check.
Published minimums only. Selection, bachelor admission, any extra requirements and available places still apply. UJ ranks all applicants from highest to lowest APS when it makes final selections in January, and says that meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee a place.
UFS 2027 example: AP 30, English level 4 (50%), Mathematics level 5 (60%), and level 4 (50%) in Economics or Business Studies or Accounting or Physical Sciences. Selection programme; 3 years (Bloemfontein).

Subject to selection (prospectus: 'SELECTION: YES'). Applications closed on 30 September 2026. This full-time programme is the route for applicants currently in Grade 12; the Construction Management (Compact Learning) option requires applicants to be at least 22 years of age with proof of full-time employment in the construction industry. Published minimums only: the prospectus says meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission, as limited space is available in each programme; final admission is subject to space and academic results.
Rough guide: whole degree = first-year tuition × years. Fees rise every year; add books, equipment, transport and living costs.
