Before

Share the subjects and combinations your school offers, along with your subject-choice deadline.

In the lesson

Open My Matric Map and choose Grade 9. Explore a few degree fields that interest the learner.
In Your subjects, try a Mathematics and science combination. Add languages and other subjects to the notes.
Read the subject check together. It checks common requirements, not admission eligibility.
Print or save the subject plan and discuss any questions before submitting the school’s own subject-choice form.

Afterwards

Check the full combination and curriculum with the school. For international curricula, confirm equivalent subjects rather than assuming the South African subject check applies directly.
